Chapter One
NICE TO MEET YA
Inspired by the timeless styles of yesteryear but with a sprinkle of modern vibes, Anatomy of Beau creates illustrations where the past is in a situationship with the present.

With equal parts nostalgia, imagination and humour - Anatomy of Beau illustrations help you step out of the modern world and into an old, dusty library (whilst giving you a cheeky wink on your way through the door).

"vintage" artworks with a 21st century vibe

THE HUMAN PERSON
Chapter Four
Anatomy of Beau was created by Linzi Jamieson in Glasgow, Scotland in 2024.

After graduating from art school Linzi has spent years creating digital art, oil paintings and photographing weddings.

Whether it's through TV, movies or books - she's always loved escaping to either historical or fantasy worlds.

Anatomy of Beau takes it's name from Linzi's cat, Beau.
She also has another cat, Claude. He is very upset to not have a business named after him.

A LONG, LONG TIME AGO...
Chapter Two
It all began with the love of the strange charm of vintage art, antique books and fantasy realms. But finding something that completely matches your vibe in a vintage shop is a rare, magical occurrence and not always easy to come by.
With the power of 21st century technology (a.k.a. an 11 year old graphics tablet), “vintage” artwork can be created in the here and now. But why commit to the bit when you can also have a lil’ fun with it?
Sprinkled throughout each artwork are nods to 21st century life: a little joke here, a touch of sarcasm there and a handful of pop culture "wink-winks".
So make sure to take the time to read the small print - as not all is at it seems.

THE *VIBE*
Chapter Three
All styles of art have a place in the world but vintage art makes us nostalgic for a time we weren’t even about for.
Through art from ye’ olden times, we can escape to more romantic eras where everything felt more tactile and human.

Anatomy of Beau illustrations stay faithful to vintage aesthetics with aged textured paper and bleeding inked lines but there is always an opportunity for some shenanigans.

Anatomy of Beau is for the lovers of curiosity cabinets, old letters, worn books and being just a little bit cheeky.

has anyone actually read this far?
